Episode 44: Flatmattersonline Exclusive with Satoshi Ojima

YO!!!

What’s up everyone? It’s time for episode 44 of the Flatmattersonline exclusive. It is a really good feeling when I get a FM exclusive that I wasn’t expecting, for me doing this it really feels like it’s working when this happens.
Satoshi Ojima stepped up for 44, Satoshi is from Osaka Japan and has been riding for 17 years. He drops a heavy line with two halfpacker pivot to opposite xft hikers in one line, what I liked about this the most was the feeling I got from watching it.
I thought about the struggle, and the push to document and push his riding, this is what these clips are all about.
Thank you Satoshi for contributing, I shall be keeping an eye out on him for sure.

Who’s got episode 45? Dropping Sunday….

Must Watch: Dane Beardsley / Daily 2020

Must Watch edits are normally reserved for this edits riders have worked on for a while, on the flip side. What if, you are so good that you can bang out a whole series of unique lines and do it with style. Dane Beardsley is one of those riders, in this edit although I have seen the clips individually on instagram. It is still so impressive and needs to seen, the footwork particularly stands out in this daily 2020 part.

Hit play and you will see what I am talking about, Dane is incredible.

George Manos: DORSOFPERSEPS

DORSOFPERSEPS from George Manos on Vimeo.

It’s a good start to the week on Flatmattersonline. So many edits, to get your teeth into this morning and get hyped for your session today. George Manos is one of the most creative riders on the planet and works some interesting ideas in this “DORSOFPERSEPS” edit.
Especially liked the no handed switch foot 5 turbine move going on 1:10, and the Body English going on at 1:21, so rad!

Classic Monday’s: Stephen Hearn – Create 2006

It’s been a few weeks since I dropped a Classic Monday’s feature, and when Jody Temple sent in this Stephen Hearn “Create” video part from 2006. It was immediately my thought to save this for a “Classic Monday”, if you missed this one the first time round when it dropped, you are in for a treat.
This part is so good, 14 years on this part still holds strong to this day. Literally everything he does is amazing, if I had to pick a standout its the x-ft half hiker pivot backwards halfpacker to left/right side backwards backpacker to right side backwards halfpacker to backwards crack at 2:09!
Like I said everything in this part hits hard, no filler at all!

Stephen Hearn take a bow, I hear this was all filmed in an hour! Incredible….

9 year old Patrik pulls his first Decade

Congratulations to 9 year old Patrik, who is one of Rob Alton’s students out in Hungary. Rob tells all below, enjoy the video!

“9 year old Patrik pulls his first Decade!!!

Patrik joins the very few kids under 10 years old around the world who can do this trick! After more than 1000 tries over 13 days he got it & 3 more!

In this video you can join him during his last battle to finally get it with more than 200 tries! This is the last part not the long version!

It takes hard work, patience, determination, concentration and believing you can do it. At just 9 years old this an amazing attitude, RESPECT to you Patrik!”

Episode 43: Flatmattersonline Exclusive with Jim Cavanaugh

YO!!

What’s up everyone? It’s time for episode 43 of the Flatmattersonline exclusive, this episode features New England flatland legend, Jim Cavanaugh!
43 is the BMX magic number, Jim comes through with an awesome back wheel line for this feature. I feel like I have already used this term a lot during the intro’s for these exclusives, but it seems like the “flatland lifers” out there are contributing more and more, and thats awesome.
I grew up reading and watching Jim ride on the Radazine, Wire ‘zine and videos, stoked to meet Jim a few years in a row at the One Love jam, and as you will see right here. Jim is still going hard to this day, respect!

Thanks Jim for contributing.
