Yu Katagiri takes top spot UCI World Championship Prelims in Abu Dhabi 2024
The first preliminary round just got done here in sunny Abu Dhabi for the 2024 UCI World Championships. Congratulations to Yu Katagiri taking the top spot followed by Matthias Dandois and Yu Shoji. Top 12 make semi finals tomorrow.
Yu Katagiri wins Fise World Series Semi Finals in Shanghai
Battling the weather elements today. Congratulations to Yu Katagiri stepping up his level today to take the top spot, followed by Toon Pakphum and Sietse van Berkel who both had amazing runs. The weather forecast isn’t great for tomorrow, but hopefully we can make finals happen. Top eight goes through to the finals.
Yu Katagiri wins Japan Cup in Yokosuka
Congratulations to Yu Katagiri, winner of the Japan Cup in Yokosuka, followed on the podium by Moto Sasaki and Masato Ito. Hopefully we get to see the runs soon.
Yu Shoji wins 2023 UCI World Championship in Glasgow
Congratulations to Yu Shoji taking home the rainbow jersey to Japan with a huge win here at the UCI World Championship here in Glasgow, Scotland! Yu was followed on the podium by Kio Hayakawa and Matthias Dandois. Amazing level in the final, with everyone throwing down for the title.
UCi Asian Flatland Championships 2023
Paulo Gepulango came through with a great edit from the UCi Asian Flatland Championships a few weeks back out in the Philippines. Moto Sasaki came out on top, followed by Masato Ito and Toon Pakphum, well worth a watch! It’s heating up before the UCI Worlds in Glasgow, just a week to go!

Congratulations to Yu Katagiri, winner of Round 1 of the Japan Cup followed by Yu Shoji and Masato Ito. The contest took place at Oasis21, you may remember the venue from one of Bobby Carters Diversion videos. Hopefully some footage soon.
Chimera A-Side: Pro + Womens Highlights
The Chimera A-side finals will go down as one of the best contests I have been to, the level of riding during the finals in particular was absolutely off the charts. There were some heated battles during that journey to decide the winner, Yu Katagiri and that 360 bike flip line at the end showed no mercy. Laying it all on the line for the 100k prize money. Flatland needs more of this… cracking edit that needs to be watched, congratulations also again to Carin Hommura, winner of the Womens class!!

What a great week it has been out here in Abu Dhabi, for the UCI World Championships, As any of you already know, the humidity/condensation in the evening delaying the schedule on Thursday. This made Friday an action packed day with Mens Elite semi finals 12 riders down to 8, Women’s Elite finals with the final 4 females, followed by Mens Elite finals.
