Nick Watts: April 3rd 2020
Hands up if your jealous more than ever of those riders with a home spot to ride. Nick Watts is one of those riders that always commands my attention, love the peg boomerang to Messiah line at 00:31. But there is so much more, and all with a smile on his face. Good to watch this right now, thanks Nick!
The Terry Adams & Martti Kuoppa Flatmattersonline Interview
Intro/Interview: Effraim.

To be coached is relatively a new thing for flatland, some people I have talked to frown when I mention this, others see value and results in being coached (if you are competing). Martti Kuoppa, is as far as I know, the first flatland coach in our history, that uses his personal experiences from years of commuting at the highest level to help others improve their contest riding, and thus…. results.
It was no accident, Martti Kuoppa is one of the most successful contest riders in flatland history, his preparation was in-depth and gruelling, and when you team him up with one of the current most successful riders on the contest scene, Terry Adams the mind boggles at the potential….
Terry Adams combined forces with Martti Kuoppa during the latter part of 2018, ending the the 2019 season with a very respectable 4th place at the UCI World Championships in Chengdu, China.
I wanted to know more, and get into the in’s and out’s, what can Terry Adams, one of the most consistent contest rider get out of being coached to improve his performances I wondered?
Grab a cuppa, sit down and take in this really insightful interview with two of the best riders to do it. Welcome to the Martti Kuoppa & Terry Adams Flatmattersonline Interview….
Mateus Beckmann: Lost Clips 2
2:12 of more lost footage from the incredible Mateus Beckmann, the second edit from this talented Brazilian in a week! This episode, contains both flat and street footage. The switch foot pedal 5 ender at 1:52 stood out to me in this one.
Brian Tunney: March 2020 Clips
Always a treat to watch Brian Tunney ride, and his monthly updates are running like clock work. In this March 2020 episode, Brian experiments with a whole bunch of backwards hitch, backwards elbow glide and dump truck variations. Thanks for sharing Brian!
King of Ground Osaka 2003 / Takeda
rad footage from the archives to start our Friday posts, today is going to be a good day! Back wheel flow from Takeda (sorry don’t know his surname). What I do know is the Degroot undertaker line at 00:41 is so good and the second run is opposite side from the first run!!!
Throwback Thursdays: Circle Cow 2008
Great blast from the past for this weeks TBT, the Circle Cow contest on the suburbs of Paris was always a great event. Tons of quality riding in this one from the likes of Raphael Chiquet, James White, Alex Jumelin, Matthias Dandois (Steam jump over frame, boomerang to halfpacker at 2:13!), Sam Foakes (the line at 4:11!), and many more. Go watch this, loved these edits from Global Flat back in the day.
Episode 11: Flatmattersonline Exclusives with Mates Tucek
If you didn’t already know, Mates Tucek is one of the most skilled riders in the game right now. Mates can do so many tricks, and his tricktionary grows by the week it seems.
He went in a refreshing direction for this 11th episode of the FM exclusives, that showcases some of the skill I am talking about. Pulling a trick opposite, then into regular. Not something you see everyday, thanks Mates for taking the time to do this.
Whose got the next clip?
Matthias Dandois: What Does It Take? / Episode 1 with Danny Macaskill
Matthias Dandois just launched his own podcast, with the help of Red Bull. For the first episode of the What Does It Take podcast, Matthias went to London to meet Danny Macaskill. He sat down to talk about Danny growing up in Scotland, being a bike mechanic, having success from one day to another, trying tricks hundreds of time, having multiple injuries, spending days to film a trick, working on the craziest projects, dealing with fear.
Matthias also spent the day riding, and having lots of fun with Danny in London.
