2012 JoMoPro Finals & Best Trick – Official Highlights Video
Flatland by it’s nature is a subjective sport/artform. There is a good argument to be said that it cannot be judged. We could talk about that for days, and indeed, quite a lot of the time we do. And to be honest it feels like we are bashing our heads against a brickwall. However, the vibe that comes across during the best trick contest, seems something fresh to the scene. Jim at flatstyle wrote a lil’ editorial on the matter, hit the link below for the juice.

Old School KOG: Keisuke Tanigawa vs Yohei Uchino
This old KOG battle popped up on Keisuke’s youtube channel yesterday, seems kinda fitting to be against the winner of this years JomoPro! Ucchie! Interesting to see his back wheel combos in this battle compared to what he drops now! Not to mention Keisuke’s amazing riding also!
Official JomoPro 2012 Press Release
The first stop of the 2012 BMX Flatland World Circuit delivers progressive riding in Middle America.
Awards were handed out last night at The Bridge in Joplin, Missouri, as the fourth annual JoMoPro flatland contest came to a close. A total of 59 amateur and professional riders from six countries around the world competed for cash and prizes courtesy of the JoMoPro sponsors.
Last year’s third place finisher in the BFWC year-end standings Yohei “Ucchie” Uchino (JAP) took the pro class win after qualifying first and dominating the floor with his original rear wheel links and combos. Dominik Nekolny (CZE) took the second place spot, and two-time NORA Cup winner Moto Sasaki (JAP) rounded out the podium, finishing in third place.
The Pro/Am Best Trick Contest was an exciting winner-takes-all 30-minuite organized jam session with 17 riders competing for more than $300. With a focus on originality and progression, Takahiro Ikeda (JAP) held the lead until the last seconds of the jam. With only one rider left capable of overthrowing the lead, last year’s JoMoPro champion Terry Adams (USA) landed a never-before-seen link to take the win. The winning trick can best be described as a backwards-rolling peg wheelie to whopper, pivoting to a forward rolling peg wheelie to whopper.
JoMoPro was part of the 2012 Am Flatland Circuit and BMX Flatland World Circuit. All riders who competed earned valuable points that will go towards their year-end standings for both circuits.
JoMoPro 2012 is sponsored by Flatland Fuel, Jungle Rider, KHE Bikes, Profile Racing, DK Bicycles, Hoffman Bikes, Tip Plus Distribution, and Zodiac Engineering.
