Something a little different right here, Yohei Uchino introduces his new flatland/skateboard park, it is pretty incredible in my opinion that Ucchie can make this happen. From the tone of this video, it looks like there will be plenty more updates from this amazing facility in Japan!

Throwback Thursdays: Braun Flatground 2006
We all have edits that are go to for a bit of motivation, and over the years I have found myself going back to this Braun Flatground in 2006 by Global Flat numerous times. It was freezing cold at the venue in Amsterdam as I recall (it was in December), but the riding was anything but, and the battles got heated.
When I look back this event really was the start of a new generation coming through on the big stage with the likes of Matthias Dandois, Sam Foakes, Keelan Phillips and many more, pushing hard in the finals, commuting against the experienced pros like Martti Kuoppa who really dug deep and showed everyone who is the boss. So much good riding, and the tunes go well, it’s worth sitting down today and taking a trip down memory lane.
No Flatland in the 2024 Olympics

Photo: Bart de Jong.
SAD news announced the other day, Flatland will not be included in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) announced there are six more places added to park, will the Olympic committee have achieved “full gender parity” which strongly suggest the lack of women participation is probably why flatland is not in the Olympics. No official word, but seems the most likely.

Must Watch: Jeep Real Games Qualifying Videos

I wouldn’t normally give the “Must Watch” tag for contest footage, but wow!
Credit where credit is due, this is the most cutting edge riding I have seen back to back in a contest like this. Heavy riding from the likes of the Katagiri brothers, Hiroya Morizaki, Naoto Tamaru, Kio Hayakawa, Hidenori Ishizaki and many more. If you didn’t even know, this like statement! “Japan is leading the way!”
This is just qualifying too, do yourself a favour. Put by an hour and just watch your jaw hit the floor.

Loving Brian Tunney’s monthly updates, such a nice way of documenting your personal progression or merely just what you are doing during that time period. From invisible hand elbow glides, to turbine hitch, to undertakers, as always there is plenty of the good stuff right here.
Leo Claro: 9 Stemlashes
I took the weekend off posting on the site to get the Pokemon interview breathe a little bit, so much content right now. As we discussed on the FLAT ONLY COGcast, stuff can get blown out real quick. Let’s get back to it, Leo Claro from Brazil starts the week with 9 stemlashes, rolling in a small circle to get more in at the spot. Skills!
