I posted part 1 of the “Break it down” series the other day on the site, today we have episode 2 with Jason Forde taking you through a back wheel line stage by stage. This is great. Anyone starting out in flatland wondering how to build a combination of tricks should watch this….
Old School Sundays: Episode 1 / RL Osborn & Patrick Trantham Live Q&A
Many of you will know that RL Osborn is back on the flatland scene, and just started his own youtube channel where he is posting a bunch of cool stuff and answering fans questions. If you are an Old School fan, peep this live Q&A where RL talks about his Redline, Genereal, Bully days, why he quit riding (which is actually really straight up!), talk to of building his own signature frame again, and he shows love to the new school flatland. Good stuff right here!
Must Watch: James White / Bring the Terror
Time and time again, James White is bang on the money. And once again, hits the jackpot right here with this amazing “Bring the Terror edit”. Bringing back child hood memories with the UK hip hip group, “Hijack”, not only quality riding that you come to expect from Whiteski, but also really good editing, and camerawork that enhances the riding clips.
James’ riding is “on point” like always, and in this edit he furthers the concepts he displayed in his last full edit “eye of the tiger” in 2019.
If I had to pick a standout clip, it would be the stalled switch foot lawnmower to undertaker out at 00:45, wow!
Let’s discuss this one in the comments section….
Nick Watts: July 23rd 2020
Nick Watts comes through like clock work each week, the mega spin ice cream line at 1:17 is so good!!
Oleg Efimov: Full Run
Oleg Efimov is making a lot of progress to his riding under the MK Format coaching programme, good to see riders working on the contest runs despite the lack of contests this year, check this one out!
Chris Böhm: Whiplashes Jump Steamroller with Albert Retey
Chris Böhm catches up with the 1993 Professional World Champion, Albert Retey. This is the first time I have seen Albert in years, this episode is focussed on Albert’s infamous multiple whiplashes jump to steamroller. Chris tries to do the same move, watch this one unfold. Good stuff from Chris!
Yinka Thomas: Break it down
Part 1 of “Break It Down” features Yinka Thomas
Here is a Flatland line broken down into stages/segments. Learn a combination easily by adding stages one at a time, until you have your own original link. Give it a go and stay tuned for more videos for Jason Forde and the TGM crew.
Takumi Kawamura: King of Ground 2004
Takumi Kawamura is a name that goes under the KOG radar, super unique back wheel riding style. Takumi won a few King of Ground contests too, peep his run from Nagoya 2004.
Leonardo Claro: 24th July
After a day off posting yesterday, it is time to get back to it. Leo Claro is a beast, well worth watching this edit full of multiple stemlash goodness, and the inside switch foot pedal Karl pivot to pedal steam at 00:46 will never get old…
Episode 40: Flatmattersonline Exclusive with Peter Miklosi
YO!!
What’s up everyone? Yesterday was a long day at work, and didn’t get the chance to be online to post, so I am a day later than usual. We made it to 40 episodes, today we have a feature with Zurich resident, Peter Miklosi. Peter was the AM World Champion a few years back here in the UK, Peter recently got the 10th place spot in Master of Creativity online competition.
And right here here he flows through a x-ft halfpacker line, mid way through to xft crackpacker, and ends it with a brakeless smith. Super rad!
I thought the general public were going to continue our international theme of walking straight through to the rider, but it didn’t happen.
Who’s got episode 41?
