I made this video from the material that I recorded at the Flatdance 2012 contest in Stara Lubovna which took place on the 22nd of September. I picked the best combos from the warm up session, semifinals, and finals, and arranged them randomly according to the final results. Please, bear in mind that the difficulty of the tricks does not reflect adequately the final results since some of the riders did not pull all their tricks cleanly in the finals.
I recorded the material on a Toshiba Camileo H30 budget cam using a Velbon tripod.

This has definitely been a rollercoaster weekend for Dominik! Firstly getting his bag stolen, now winning Texas Toast, and from all accounts dropping what some of have called “the hardest combo in a contest ever”. All I know is the combo started with xfted whiplashes and ended with xfted whiplashes! Congrats Dom! Does that mean he wins the year end title too?

2012 JoMoPro Finals & Best Trick – Official Highlights Video
Flatland by it’s nature is a subjective sport/artform. There is a good argument to be said that it cannot be judged. We could talk about that for days, and indeed, quite a lot of the time we do. And to be honest it feels like we are bashing our heads against a brickwall. However, the vibe that comes across during the best trick contest, seems something fresh to the scene.
