Congratulations to Alex Jumelin, winner of the 2022 French National Champion this weekend in Montpellier. Alex was followed on the podium by Matthieu Bonnecuelle & Anatole Rahain. See you in Abu Dhabi in November for the UCI World Championships.

“For this episode, I sat down with French young gun Anatole Rahain. One of the up and coming riders on the pro flatland scene. Anatole has been riding for 10 years, turned pro a couple of years back and has a few international podiums under his belt. A few months back he decided to be a full time rider and is supporting himself through shows and contests winnings. While mostly known as a contest rider, he is also active with the flatland association in his native region of Normandy promoting flatland and with the organization of the annual Astrolab contest. He is hungry, working hard at honing his skills and wants to take flatland to new heights. Here is his story.”

Raw Fise Montpellier 2022 Practise Footage
I’ve been sat on these clips on my phone for a few months now, rather than dump them for no one to see. I thought I would try my hand at a raw edit filmed in practise in between judging duties, from the Fise Montpellier event featuring Yu Shoji, Sietse van Berkel, Matthias Dandois, Kio Hayakawa, Toon Pakphum, Masato Ito, and Moto Sasaki.

Must Watch: Giannis Caternellis / Freestyler #120
120 Freestyler edits from the prolific Giannis Caternellis, this one kept through the system until now. What a treat from Giannis, that opening line is absolutely bonkers in difficulty level alone, and made me ponder a question I would like to ask the flatland community. If a rider is doing a combination of tricks that no one else touches yet its been done before in parts but combo’ed differently. Is that original?
The backpacker jump to hitch and then one footed hitch at around the 3:15 mark is ridiculous and its a good case in point. So much take in here, a definite Must Watch for your Sunday feed!
