We are battling the elements here in Montpellier. Pro semis just went down, with Kio Hayakawa and Jean William Prevost both throwing heavy flawless runs. The level was fitting of a final!!
Aude Cassagne took the top spot in Women’s qualifying, and Gabin Jumelin had an amazing run to take top spot in Expert qualifying.
Kio Hayakawa takes the top spot in the first qualifying competition here at Fiseworld UCI World Cup in Montpellier, France. Top 16 make semi finals, the event started yesterday and had to stop due to rain stopping the event being able to run.
We finished qualifying at 9am this morning, with the last group of eight riders. Props to all the riders getting it done in difficult conditions. Semis later on today, let’s hope the rain stays away.
What an awesome weekend at the annual Urbanruralride in Saint Yan, France. This is one of the best contests on the calendar, congratulations to Owen Bohn winner of Pro class, the final four battle was intense!
Also, congratulations to Aude Cassagne winner of the Women’s Class, Jean Michel Chauvel winner of Veteran, Nils Buyse who took his first win in Masters, and Mathis Valade who made a huge stride from last place last year at this contest to first place this year, and in both qualifying and finals. Big scene in France, seventy riders in total competed, this is a real community event with a lot of love, and passion put into it and it shows! Look out for a repo later in the week.
I’ve been sat on these clips on my phone for a few months now, rather than dump them for no one to see. I thought I would try my hand at a raw edit filmed in practise in between judging duties, from the Fise Montpellier event featuring Yu Shoji, Sietse van Berkel, Matthias Dandois, Kio Hayakawa, Toon Pakphum, Masato Ito, and Moto Sasaki.
Congratulations to Matthias Dandois, winner of the Never Off The Battle contest this weekend followed by Yu Katagiri and Yu Shoji. That’s two wins on back to back weekends for MD. Props to Dani and Alex Jumelin putting this one on, once again this looked like one of the best events so far this year.
French takeover at Omarisquino in Vigo, Spain with Matthias Dandois taking the win followed by Alex Jumelin & Anatole Rahin in the third place podium spot! That contest floor looks like the best I’ve seen in a long time! Next week it’s the Never Off The Battle and the King of Concrete it’s a busy contest season!
Congratulations to Kio Hayakawa who took the top spot here at the Fiseworld/UCI contest in Montpellier. Matthias Dandois turned it on working the crowd to a party tune and riding flawless to take a well deserved second place going into tomorrow’s final.
Moto Sasaki took the third place with his signature backwards spinning style, top 8 make tomorrows final. It’s going to go off!
Kio Hayakawa is now on Red bull, the RB team all surprised and took to the stage to welcome Kio to the team. Awesome way to surprise Kio and give him something for memory books forever!
What a nice moment yesterday, the official announcement happened right before Pro qualifying here at Fiseworld in Montpellier.
Congrats Terry Adams, qualifying first in Sunny Montpellier here at Fiseworld. Matthias Dandois also rode incredible, with Yu Shoji and Toon close behind! Semi finals on Saturday. Top 16 make semi finals!
