Man, I miss Flatland Manifesto! Shane Neville put so much work into these flatland video magazines, if you missed these it really is worth your time to sit down, and take all this in.Thank you Shane! Issue 1 featured the La Revolution from Toronto, How to Pinky with Cory Stratychuk, ESPN B3 in Anaheim, California (this section rules!), Art Thomason Interview and more. So much good riding, 19 years ago. Wow!
King of Ground 2004: Nagoya Japan
Akihiko Takahashi just came through with 22 minutes of golden footage from the 1st Round of the King of Ground series in 2004. Round 1 went down in Nagoya, Japan, and 16 years later, most of this riding stands up today. Featuring the likes of Martti Kuoppa, Terry Adams, Yohei Uchino, Viki Gomez, Shinde, Kotaro Tanaka, and so many more. I just got through with my first viewing of this, and I’ll be going straight back to this. This is refreshing to watch, thanks Aki for the upload!

Nevertheless, this is certainly worth a rewatch! One of the most important events on the flatland contest calendar, that retains a certain aura year to year when I’m there. Hit play for amazing combos from the likes of Viki Gomez, Martti Kuoppa, Matthias Dandois, Adam Kun, Seppl, Justin Miller (Kickflip backpacker line at 2:28 into his hitch kickflip backpacker!), Chris Bohm, Bram Verhallen (lookout for his Xft 360 Kickflip hitch at 1:34!), Frank Lucas, Kotaro Tanaka, Wolfgang Sauter and Keelan Phillips.
