Classic Mondays: Alexis Desolneux / Flatsphere

It feels like a while since I dropped a “Classic Mondays”, and on Saturday when Alexis Desolneux dropped his Intrikat “Flatsphere” which was released in 2004, I knew it was time for another CM!
Alexis is infamous for his amazing video parts, and at a later date it might be worth doing a breaking down episode with one of his parts.
Chad Johnston made some of the best videos/DVD’s in flatland history, and combine that with riders of the calibre of Alexis, and your onto a classic! If you had to pick, what’s your favourite line in this part? I would have to go with the opposite hang 5 to halfpacker line that just keeps building and building at 2:13! Let’s discuss this one….

Episode 14: Flatmattersonline Exclusives with Terry Adams

Welcome back, switching things up as the lockdown continues for the COVID 19 pandemic. Instead of once a week dropping exclusives, let’s change things up to two exclusives a week and help entertain riders across the globe!
Terry Adams has his own riding spot at home, and threw down this amazing line cutting down the dead time between switches with the best OUTRO yet.

Thanks to Terry for contributing towards the culture.

Who’s got the next clip? Let’s keep this flowing….

Old School Sundays with Aaron Dull

For this weeks OSS, we go back to 1988 and a groundbreaking run from Aaron Dull at AFA Masters in Portland, Oregon. Aaron was a Golden Gate Park local in San Francisco who definitely contributed so much to flatland. The obvious highlight in this run is the backyard to backwards perverted decade at 00:59, I don’t think this has ever been since? Thanks BMX Flatland Junkies for posting these gems from the archives!

West Coast 4130: 1993

Snakebite BMX just uploaded a lost gem from the archives, I feel like not many of you will have seen this video from 1993. West Coast 4130 documents the So Cal riding scene featuring sections from Edgar Plascencia (4:58), Sean McKinney (12:10), Day Smith (24:26), mixed section 29:26 featuring many more riders like Gabe Weed, Andrew Arroyo, Jesse Puente…. Plenty of time to kill at the moment, and this one is worth a watch and a trip down memory lane. West Coast style!

Throwback Thursdays: Flatland Manifesto #1 / 2001

Man, I miss Flatland Manifesto! Shane Neville put so much work into these flatland video magazines, if you missed these it really is worth your time to sit down, and take all this in.Thank you Shane! Issue 1 featured the La Revolution from Toronto, How to Pinky with Cory Stratychuk, ESPN B3 in Anaheim, California (this section rules!), Art Thomason Interview and more. So much good riding, 19 years ago. Wow!
