The jam circle contest popped off this weekend in Houston, Texas! Congratulations to FM rider of the year, Jean William Prevost taking the win in the Pro class followed by Terry Adams and Benjamin Hudson. So good to see Benjamin back in the mix.
Congratulations to Troy Hebert, winner of the expert class followed by Joey Kyllo and Anthony Schneidewind. This event looked absolutely amazing, props to Hector Garcia, Jerry Milborn, and Steven Lapsley for putting this event together. Hopefully this event stays on the flatland calendar!
It’s time for episode 30 of the Hang 5 Podcast, Francois sat down with the current female flatland world champion, French shredder Aude Cassagne. Currently residing in the famous wine town of Bordeaux.
While she started riding a long time ago, Aude had put her bike down while attending Med school. She is a doctor whose specialty consists of diagnosing potentially cancerous cells. In 2022, she picked up her bike and took the scene by storm. Winning the world championships in Abu Dhabi, getting on the Heresy team and winning the reader’s choice award for best female rider on Flatmatters. Here is her story:
One for the U.K. heads here on the FM site. Amos Burke is hosting a flatland jam at his local riding spot Tescos in Hastings down on the South East coast. Sunday 26th March, 4pm till late, address on flyer!
I had some leftover, unseen footage from some of the Red Bull Circle of Balance practice sessions in New Orleans featuring Yu Katagiri, Toon Pakphum, Terry Adams, Lee Musselwhite, Kio Hayakawa, Mickey Gaidos, and Matt Wilhelm. Enjoy!
I’m a big fan of video parts, and a big fan of Jody Temple’s riding. So let’s kill two birds with one stone as they say, always loved Jody’s trick choices and his switches are so unique. Give this a watch, and get inspired!
If you don’t already know Trevor Meyer is not only of the most dominant contest riders of all time, he’s also one of the most skilled riders to ever do it. Stoked to see the Snakebite crew give Trevor some shine.
I’m always impressed Todd Carter can forward death truck in the smallest of riding spots, good to see some fresh clips from Todd. Give this one a watch.
I missed this one the first time round, Brian Tunney dropped this awesome compilation from his riding last year. Plenty of undertaker treats in this one, so good to see Brian is still progressing and having fun out there on the 20″.
Here’s what Brian had to say:
“I compiled all of my favorite clips from the past year. Most of these, especially the undertakers, were tough combos that sometimes took hours or days to land. Starting on January 1, the double barspin undertaker to smith was something that I honestly tried for days between Christmas and New Year’s 2021. And then it just magically happened when I least expected.
I don’t usually feel too accomplished with my riding but looking back, it’s nice to know I was able to learn some new things, combine old things and still enjoy riding flatland at the age of 48. Here’s to a new year, thanks for watching!”
