Congratulations to Alex Jumelin who won the 2021 French National Championships this weekend at the Fise flatland academy in Montpellier.
Alex was followed on the podium by Matthias Dandois and Varo Hernandez, with Julien Baran being the third place ranked French rider.
Good to see events continuing to happen, as we approach the end of 2021. Hopefully some footage soon from the contest. Props to everyone involved.
It’s a good day for edits on Flatmattersonline, first we had TJ Perry’s baby edit and now we have Hoffman Bikes very own Matt Wilhelm drop a banger that you do want to miss featuring lots of classics from Wilhelm’s huge arsenal of tricks!
There is so much to take in, can anyone spin as fast as Matt on this planet? Not to mention all the crazy switches that Matt throws down. This is getting rewinded right now, great to see the 360 dump truck move once again, absolute banger!!!
TJ and his wife found out they were expecting shortly after the Spring online AFA contest wrapped up in the spring. He decided he didn’t want to be doing the same old tricks and set out to progress as much as he could over the summer.
The result of that time dedicated to progressing is awesome to see and refreshing to watch, something about the snap you get switching with front brakes that is lost in brakeless riding in my opinion.

Big news just came through on my instagram feed that surprised me, and maybe you too… Varo Hernandez has had an amazing contest season, making his way up to the top of the contest season and he announced he has just left We The People!
Varo hasn’t announced what the future holds, but sounds like another ride is forthcoming soon…
