The 2020 Flatmattersonline Year End Awards Nominations Are……..

It’s time as promised to announce the 2020 Flatmattersonline Year end awards nominations,
I felt there was a lot to say about the awards and the year, which a lot of the time doesn’t get covered under the previous text announcement format.

So, I attempted to make a makeshift studio feel in my front room during lockdown 3.0, and present the nominations, and share my feelings on the year as well as the reader choices.
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.

The 2018 Flatmattersonline Year End Award Winners are…..

It’s that time, thanks once again to everyone who voted in the 2018 Flatmattersonline Year awards and a massive congratulations to the winners and everyone who got nominated. In my opinion, if you get nominated you already won. But, as always there has to be a winner. Let’s get into this, first up the editorial votes then the reader choice. Medals will be sent out once I return from my trip to the One Love Jam, so I will be in contact with the winners over the next week or so.

March is always a good month, springtime is coming and after a long winter its nice to be able to ride outside again. Not to mention generally there is a whole lot more content coming through from riders worldwide.

On the first day of March, Paul Chamberlain just dropped a real nice promo for the Down Underground 2016 series, filmed at his local riding spot in Summer Hill. Plenty of awesome hang 5 variations in signature Paul Chamberlain smooth style, well worth watching again.

I dropped the 2016 Flatmattersonline year end awards just a few days ago, thank you to everyone who has already voted.Today I begin the task of going through the entire year and seeing what went down. Lookback: August 2015 – The Flatmattersonline 2015 Year end awards

Let’s start the month of August with an amazing demonstration of stamina, bike control and consistency to drop a 15 minute combo by the one and only, Rodney Williams! Rodney was already a few minutes into this combo when Gino Palencia started filming, there’s a nice moment here when Yohei Uchino realises he’s witnessing a moment and stops to watch Rodney do his own thing at the Voodoo pre jam. Respect!

The clocks go forward in April, and the riding level and contest season takes on more momentum as we all get psyched for the summer. What happened in April? Here are some of the highlights as I dig back in the crates at some of the key moments…
